3D Modelling

We use Cloud based applications to create accurate and detailed 3D models of land, buildings and structures.

Cloud based solutions are used to capture large volumes of photogrammetry. The data is sent via the cloud it is then processed and returned fully rendered and available to our clients world wide.

0.4inc/px is the best resolution that our software can render (compared to google maps that is typically 15m/px).


Topographical Surveys

Our Topographical Surveying is capable of producing accurate elevation models.

Technology assists is with an increasing adoption of photogrammetry to create life-like images of topology.

Large, high, remote or inaccessible structures can be filmed using drones. The images can be used to provide 3D models for surveyors to use in condition assessments.

Drones now make use of LiDAR to create pinpoint 3D measurements of land, tunnels and viaducts. One example of this technique is to create fully immersive 3D models of new routes for signal location work and driver training.

Results from topological surveys can also be used in conjunction of BIM model creations.


Data Output

NDVI & Elevation Levels - View Crop Health heat maps with several RGB and NIR Vegetation indexes.

Volume Measurement - Real time Volumetrics; Cut fill & Volume.

Shapefile & Contour Export - Contours can be exported for Shapefile, for use with ArcGIS or DXF files for use in AutoCAD.

RTK & Custom Coordinates - RTJK Drone data increases image processing and accuracy. Use EPSG codes to export maps into your local coordinate system.

Map & 3D Export - Export JPG, GeoTiff, 3D and point cloud (LAS & OBJ). Point clouds can be exported in the XYZ format allowing for custom coordinate systems.


Network Rail & Drones

Although permission to fly is granted, we need to ensure the drone maintains a 50 meter distance from the open lines. This can be achieved by using heavy lift drones using zoom cameras.

Some of the data captured during the Drone inspections will be used as part of the ORBIS scheme. This includes capturing detailed photographs in 3D allowing a map of the network to complete with minute detail. ORBIS used data from the national Aerial Survey to produce the first version of its mapping tool, the GEO- RINM (Rail Infrastructure Network Model), but now will use drones to update the maps regularly.
